our stay has been awesome! great staff (attitude), very dog- and kidfriendly hotel. definitly recommandable! yummy breakfast!
that we had to wait almost an hour on our dinner at the hotel restaurant 'La Galeria'. only one waiter for a full restaurant just did not match up...
We found the hotel to be very convenient for getting around and was in pleasant tree lined street area. Our room was very good with all you needed provided, and clean Staff most helpful , restaurant good and breakfast good.Free internet service was most appreciated. Would definitely stay there again.
The Ametyst is well located in a Czech district, the room was generally comfortable, the facilities were good and any issues were quickly resolved by the staff.
The only thing we did not like was the two single quilts on the double bed as we feel this undermined the otherwise good comfort levels.
good quality in everything. Located close to city center. Very neat and friendly staff. Internet costs only 10 Euro for whole stay.
Too small room. I never thought a 4 star hotel can have such a small room. And the view out of my window was not a good one.
The website indicates that the rooms have queen beds and the room I had didnt have one, it had a very tiny and small bed which was very uncomfortable.
Location within walking distance to city centre, not expensive access to wifi internet. Although hotel is not modern, it is clean and comfortable with nice choice for breakfast
Parking places - few within the hotel and impossible on the street, though with Prague's communication it is possible to park a car cheaply on the outskirts of the city
Comfort and decent breakfast
They tried to make me pay the internet use but I did not. Price is quoted in EUR but want you to pay in CZK at a rate they establish: it was 25 to 1, not bad but is the usual crap in Prague with the exchange rate
New hotel, in a safe place of te city but you have to walk like 20 min to all the turistc places
Wonderful staff, lovely room, super shower, very clean
Helpful staff. Cleanliness. Breakfast include. Comfort of rooms, particularly the double bed which is not always a strong point in European hotels, which often favour the "Austrian twin" instead of a proper double. Location, close enough to walk to centre of Prague but far enough removed from the centre to provide relaxed, undisturbed accommodation.
Lack of free internet. Booking detail suggested that although Wi-Fi would be chargeable wired internet would be available, which it was not. I also selected, on Booked.net, a superior (courtyard view) room but got a street side room although, lack of internet apart, this was not a problem because there was little traffic noise, certainly nothing to cause disturbance during the night.
The hotel represents high standard of accommodation. It is located in the very prominent city district (Vinohrady) and is surrounded by nice, small streets and attractive old fashioned buildings. Not far from the nearest tram stop (about 10 min. walk) and in about 30 min. walk from the city center (Vaclavske Namesti). Not large but very cozy room. Extremely comfortable bed. The room was cleaned everyday, the towels were exchanged each day, without asking for it. Breakfast is very reach and provides a number of different choices for everyone. Very helpful and kind hotel staff as well as the restaurant staff. Very kind hotel boy (the one with glasses). There is a number of small bistros and groceries close to the hotel, offering a wide choice of local food. Very good price/performance ratio. We are willing to come back there again.
There is nothing to complain at all.
Good value well though out hotel
Bit of a distance from nearest metro station and not easy to find (use a cab to find it)
The staff, very friendly , efficient and professional, particularly, the reception staff, the porter Jakob and a very nice young lady named Iva, from breakfast service, outstanding services !
The service was polite, friendly, ready to help people who do not speak Czeck, the room was clean and large Thanx!
It is an old building nicely renovated within the limits of the building style. It is reasonably but not very close to the main city attractions but taxis and local transport are easy to access. Staff are friendly and helpful. the rooms are basic but comfortable.
The street is noisy early in the mornings as local garbage services move through the streets and the hotel is not really able to be well sound insulated.
